For a long time, the sugar companies of Valle del Cauca and the world have been committing indiscriminate acts that destroy the environment.

Ramiro Echeverri Sánchez, president of the Palmira Municipal Council, said that the Palmirano council has presented a draft agreement that will be perfected and will be concluded to turn it into a draft agreement that prohibits burning of sugar cane foliage, so that there is a gradual clearing of the crop and that favors the revision of the water design.

The sugarcane should be burned 7 kilometers around because I really think that is where it would least affect Palmira and its nearby municipalities since the smoke from the flames does not reach them at this distance.

I agree that they shouldn't burn the cane in nearby parts of Palmyra as this generates great pollution for the environment and it is necessary to they end all that pollution in the municipality
